    BIOGRAPHY

    Marcus’s ultra running career started in 2008, finishing 2nd at the Devil O’ Highland. After winning the Draycote Water 35 Ultra in 2009 he was selected to run for England at the Anglo-Celtic Plate 100km incorporating the British Championships. He has represented England five times at 100km, once at 50km and represented Great Britain at the 2010 and 2015 World and European 100km Championships.

    In 2016, Marcus ran his first multi-stage race, The Cape Wrath Ultra in Scotland – 8 days 246 miles winning the race in 41hrs 36mins. He followed that up by winning the Dragons Back Race in Wales, one of the toughest mountain races in the world.  Marcus is also incredibly established in the world of orienteering, beginning with his first win at age 16, at the Avon Schools Orienteering league.  It’s been creating one trail run after another ever since.
