Kilimanjaro

February 4 - 13, 2028

For the very first time in the 20-year history of Race2Adventure comes a new and challenging concept – SUMMIT2ADVENTURE! Unlike the last two decades, you will not be asked to race, run, or even walk swiftly. Quite the contrary, you’ll be asked to walk slowly, day by day, so we can all summit the tallest stand-alone mountain in the world! So all 100 of us can climb to the roof of Africa and experience a jaw-dropping sunrise together.

Due to the size and interest in our adventures, we thought we’d do a little digging on the largest group to ever summit Kilimanjaro at once. Without digging too deep into the numbers, know that 100 people will demolish the current record! Want to accomplish something extraordinary AND break a (Guinness Book of) World Record?

This is Tanzania’s Summit2Adventure, Kilimanjaro!!!

Founder + Event Director
Merritt helped orchestrate races with the world’s most popular adventure race of all time, the Eco Challenge, in New Zealand and Fiji. He then went on to be the Logistics Director in Tahoe, Volunteer Director in the San Juan Islands, and Director of Operations in Moab, Utah for The Primal Quest. Since then, Merritt moved on to develop his own race in Costa Rica that pulled elements of an adventure race, but simplified the experience so that just about anyone could be a part of it. After three successful years in Costa Rica, he has executed his concept in Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Chile, Spain, Ireland, and is now introducing it in Central Europe, New Zealand, and Norway!
